It was a time of browser-based strategy games was on rise but things you could do in browser was limited compare to current options we have. We wanted to give players a beatiful interface with nice, 3d rendered-isometrical elements.
I used SketchUp for 3D modelling and basic VRay for rendering. It was the first time I used a 3D software and I pushed the limits of internal texture editing on vanilla version. it was fun and working on 3D was surprisingly rewarding for a UI designer like myself.
